Perasmian Soft Skills 2

Assalamualaikum... Halo! Hi! Today is another tiring day. Phew! I got class later at 4 pm. Mandarin class. ;) And actually I and other mpp family will have meeting at 5 pm. Maybe I'll come a bit late cause have class lorr. Hehe. Yesterday, an opening ceremony was held. It's the Soft Skills opening ceremony. It's was officiated by the Director of Academic Management Division, Mr. Jamal Rizal bin Razali. After the ceremony, a talk was held. The talk was made by Ustaz Badli Shah Alaudin, the Kadi of Temerloh titled Towering Personality. In his talk, he categorized students into 4 categories. He also discussed about 4 elements of soft skills; discipline, skills, communication, and teamworking. I felt very sleepy you know. But ustaz managed to lighten up the hot evening with his jokes. Hehe. Lawak gak ustaz ni. ;P He also gave us tips how to communicate well; importantly is our voice tone level. That's the hard part though. Well, get to go now. Hehe. That's all. Peace! :)

Hari Terbuka Badan-badan Pelajar UMP

Assalamualaikum & good day my peeps! It's Wednesday today. Yerp, it's the middle of the week already. ;) This is about yesterday's night. There's an event yesterday's night you know. It's called UMP Student's Associations Open Day (Hari Terbuka Badan-badan Pelajar UMP). The event was participated by 38 clubs & associations in UMP. Each club & association opened booth to promote their club. And the crowd is not bad. Hehe. Many students turned up even though it's raining. I have to walk through the rain without umbrella. Luckily the rain was not very heavy. Can't ride my bike cause my bike doesn't have mud guard. ;P And I actually late yesterday. I arrived at Blok W while the Dean made the speech. And the speech is finishing. Aiya. Nevermind. As long as I came and I can took photos. Hehe. Hurm..not much too write. Here I displayed some of the photos that I took from last night event. Post aku yg ke-100!!!!

Assalamualaikum & good day all! :D I'm proudly present to you, my 100th posts. Hehe. It's been a year I'm using Blogger as my blog. Thanks Blogger. ;) Yesterday morning, I'm writing about whats happened to me this week. Now, I'm telling ya what have I done yesterday. Haha. Just read till the end okay. I was at Kuantan. I did mention right in my previous post? I went out to wait for bus at 9.40 am like that. Wearing my new Spain jersey that I bought from Padang Besar last week (jangan jeles tau, bau kedai lagi tuu...hehe). As I arrived at the bus stop near the guard post, I saw Andak. I wonder where is he going? So, I asked him la. Owh, he also going to Kuantan but for different purpose. He's going because expoconvo. He went with another 3 expoconvo peeps also. They went there by university's vehicle.

And then I got this idea. Hehe. You know what? I'm going to tumpang them la. Heee... Jangan mare.. ;P And my wish was fullfilled =) Not only me. But Ucu also. Ish3. Nakai 2 orang ni. Hurm. So, we went to Kuantan with that vehicle lah. Then we arrived at 11 am like that. 1stly, we went to Kamdar. At Kamdar, actually I don't want to buy anything. But, there was this batik that attract me. I tried the batik and it suits me! And then, I called the kakak that worked there to take for me the batik that I wanted from their stock. Eventually, the batik was out of stock (the size that I asked for lah...). The one that available was that pattern also only different colour. X suke, xsuke...huhu. It's ok. Next time I'll come again to buy. And nothing was achieved there. Ucu achieved new tali pinggang. Haha.

Next station was the Megamall. ;) We walked from Kamdar you know. As soon as we arrived, of course la we withdraw the money first right. If not we can't buy anything la right. Hehe. Today, everything needs money. Haiya. I don't understand la. Hurm. After that, we went to the behind of Megamall building. I don't remember la the name. Hehe. The place is like Low Yat la; a bit. There, they sold PCs, laptops, CDs, DVDs and other computer thingy. You know what. At there, I surveyed the external hard disks. The 500GB one. Not all shops there have 500GB. Most shops only have 320GB; the high one la. I also surveyed the 160GB. Until I found this shop, they sold at the cheapest price there. If Low Yat maybe I can get more cheaper. Hehe. Without further a due, I bought the 160GB external hard disk cause it's the cheapest there. The price was RM210. I asked the kedaiman if I can buy it for RM200 only. But I can't cause he said that the less he can give. OK lah. Fine. I buy it. ;) I achieved 160GB external hard disk. Yay! Then, I search for refill ink for my printer. My black ink eventually out of stock. So, I have to buy one. Not one, but two. I bought 2 black ink and one coloured ink. That costs RM54. I achieved another thing, the refill ink. ;)

The story didn't end here. Ade lagi... Next we went back inside Megamall. Ucu wanted to go to the Popular bookstore. I just followed him. He looked for the novels. I don't read novels. ;P Very thick woo novel. Hehe. I'm just looking around for some political books. There was one named Political Tsunami that catches my eyes. Maybe I'll buy it next time. InsyaAllah. From Popular, we went to the Guardian for a while. I bought strong hold gel. Hehe. Tomorrow konfem rambut keras. ;P After that, we feel very hungry. Ya..it's time to makan. Guess where we went. It's Pizza Hut. Wee...Teringat Cikma lak. Aiya. We eat the meal set that have two pizzas; one is stuffed crust and another one is not. When the food is served, we eat 'em all. ;D After eating, we went to the Cold Storage to search for Achik's bawang. After surveyed the bawang, Ucu said better we go to Kuantan Parade. Better choice for bawang la. Hehe. But, I don't leave the cold storage with an empty hands. I bought the shoes Kiwi and Kiwi Fresh Force. Next, we move on to Maidin because ucu need to find his A4 paper and other things there.

At Maidin, I only bought Energizer AA batteries. The rechargable one. I have to que up very long only to buy just one thing. Hehe. Janji dapat beli. ;P Maidin was soooo crowded with people. As usual lah right. Not long after that, Ucu also que up to pay for the things that he buy. I also buy the needle and thread. To jahit my seluar and baju. ;) But, Ucu pay it for me lah. Kui3...

Next destination was Kuantan Parade. At KP, our mission was only to buy bawang besar and bawang putih. Actually, Achik's bawang not me lah. Hehe. We bought the bawang at The Store at KP. After we bought the bawang, we went to surau that situated near KP to solat. After we finish solat, we went directly to the bus station to take bus and go back to UMP. Finally, I can go back. Yezza! And that's the end of it. Peace! :)

History in the making

Assalamualaikum all! :) Today is Saturday. I've just had my breakfast accompanied by Chot, Taqi and Suffi. They have kawad this morning with the kor suksis. I used to kawad when I was in the primary school. That time I was with the boy scout. Hehe. When I got into my secondary school I didn't involve anymore in boy scout. Last time I kawad was when I'm in my 1st semester 1st year here at UMP (that time was KUKTEM). Well, it's actually the bridget siswa which are compulsary to all new comers of UMP. The course did count in my academic evaluation though. ;)

My PSM was on da way. Last Thursday I met my supervisor, Dr. Noraziah with Tito. I saw tito bring the hardcopy draft for the 1st chapter. Eventually, I was not able to produce the hardcopy of my draf because I haven't finish typing the draft. Hehe. But we discuss based on the proposal form of mine that she have. There's some part that I have to worked out more especially how to determine the correctness of my system output. And it's involve the protocol. Yesterday I've done my homework to search for information regarding my PSM. Chaiyok, Chaiyok!(for me...hehe)

This week was a week of history for me because I was selected by the faculty to attend an interview with a multinational company, Intel Corp. :) The interview was on Wednesday, 16th July 2008. I was among the 30 candidates that have been chosen. And I was the 3rd candidate that day. That day, I wore lounge suit. Look smart ey? ;) I arrived at the interview place 30 minutes before the interview session started. I guess that's too early right? Hehe. Then I waited for other candidates and the interviewer. When it's my turn, I walked into the interview room confidently. Of course, we must be confident but don't over confident lah. Hehe. The 1st question asked was about myself. Then he asked me whether I'm willing to travel there to work for them. You know the answer. ;) And I did mention about my tour to the North last week. That's for the intro. After that, the questions is mostly based on soft skills and problem solving. I manage to answer all the question even though there are some lacking of answers. And some times I forget the words in English. Aiya. ;) Alhamdulillah, the interview was going well. I strongly suggest whoever have not yet being interviewed, be prepared especially with your English cause mostly now the interview is in English. That's my experience.

Going North...

Assalamualaikum and good day! It's good to be back at UMP. I just arrived here this morning at 3 am(14 July 2008) in the morning like that. I'm still feel tired even though I slept all the way in the bus while going back to UMP last night. ;P I was with a delegation of UMP students - MPP and academic association's students leader. We were going for an academic visit or a tour to the northern region universities - UniMAP, UUM and USM. We depart from UMP on Friday night at about 10 pm like that. The journey took us about 10 hours and it's really tiring.

Our 1st destination was UniMAP; Wang Ulu residential, Perlis. We arrived there at about 9 am like that. We were welcomed by their MPP. 1st agenda there was breakfast. Haha. Hungry la beb. Not yet breakfast. ;) After breakfast, the UniMAP peps took us to thier Teaching Factory. I can't recall the name of that place but that place are their lab. Similarly to UMP but their lab is smaller than ours la. After that, they took us to the Seberang Ramai campus. FYI, their main campus is on the way a.k.a under construction. :) At Seberang Ramai, we have a little discussion regarding UniMAP and UMP. We exchanged information about faculties, facilities, academics and others. At 2 pm like that, we were going back to the Wang Ulu residential to have our lunch and break. After the break, we went to Padang Besar. Hehe. What is so special about Padang Besar? Your guess? ;) Shopping of course. I grabbed myself 2 jerseys(Real Madrid & Spain), a t-shirt with Thailand flag printed on it and a black corporate jacket. What's the total price? Can you guess? Hehe. The total was RM97 only. Cheap right?

Our next destination was UUM which was situated in Sintok, Kedah. We arrived there at almost 7 pm. Our arrival was welcomed by their MPP. As soon as we arrived, their MPP took us around the UUM campus. Their campus area was large. One thing that attracted me was their residential name. They were took after the name of corporate company like Sime Darby, Bank Rakyat, Petronas and others. PLKN camp was also in that campus. They have golf course, and go-kart track also. ;) After going around the campus, we went to their residential that situated in Bukit Kachi. We logged in there for a night. Their residential there was also like ours; 4 storey flat. Hehe. But the room can occupy 2 students only la. Their residential was fully wireless. I thought they have wired also. Cause I bring along my LAN cable. Hehe. Nevermind. Later that night, we have a dialog with their MPP while other's(the academic association's students leader) were having a program with their college representative(at UMP is called JPK). Our dialog was about MPP mission and vision, expoconvo and students affairs. Our dialog finished at 12 am. Wow. 2 days of dialog. Hehe. ;P After that, we gone back to Bukit Kachi residential to sleep.

The next morning, we logged out from the residential at 7.30pm(that's me..hehe). After all of us have gathered, we departed to our 3rd destination; USM. We went to both campus; engineering campus at Nibong Tebal and the main campus at Penang Island. 1st we went to the engineering campus. Our arrival was welcomed by their MPP also. After that we have a short discussion regarding expoconvo before we depart to the main campus. Before going to the main campus, the engineering campus' MPP took us around to look around the campus. The campus is not so big but is bigger that ours laj. Hehe. Then we were heading to the main campus. Before reaching the main campus, we have to go through the Penang Bridge 1st. Hehe. Of course lah right. The main campus is of USM was also quite big. Their residential college was name with Desasiswa. Example Desasiswa Indah Kembara, Desasiswa Jaya and others. Our arrival there was welcomed by their main campus' MPP. We stopped by at their MPP office to look around. After a while, we were took by their MPP to going around the campus by bus. The Penang bridge can be seen from their admin building that was situated on top of the hill. ;) Just before we went back to the engineering campus to send back the engineering campus' MPP that followed us, we stopped ny the USM main campus' masjid to pray and ate at the Kayu Nasi Kandar at the Auto City, Seberang Prai. I ate nasi kandar. Very delicious! Hehe. After sending them back, we went back to UMP. We arrived at UMP at 3 am the next day and that's the end of our tour. Thank you for reading. Peace! :)

Cuti berlalu pergi...Kuliah datang lagi...

Assalamualaikum all. It's been a long time I haven't write in this blog. This first week have been a very busy week for me. Even though my classes is not full everyday, there are still other works need to be done. This semester I have my final year project 1 (PSM 1). I still at the research part about my system that I want to develop. It's still a long way to go but I have to keep doing it. I hope I can eliminate my last minute attitude. Hehe. Just now I have a mock interview and grooming workshop for interview. Next week, if I'm selected, I'll be interviewed by the people from Intel. Wow. Sounds good right? It's very good! About my mock interview that I've just passed this evening, I was evaluated by 3 lecturers. They said I need to talk with passion cause I talked with monotone. Hehe. They also advice me to do not quantify. Means, do not say word like "a little", "a bit" and so on lah. And then they told me to show up my strength. That's some of the things that they commented on me. I will improve and make my best in the real interview. InsyaAllah. :)

MINDS 2008

Assalamualaikum and good day! It's been 5 days I haven't write anything here. I am busy with the orientation week or here, we called it Minggu Induksi Siswa (MINDS). This is the 7th edition of MINDS in UMP including the KUKTEM time la. And this is my second time being the facilitator for MINDS. Last time was MINDS 2007. This year MINDS have created histories compared to last year. This is according to Abg Wan. And it's true. The number of this year facilitator was the fewest from all MINDS that been held. The number of intake also increased at about 50% from last year. Student intake for my faculty also reaching 400 students. That's quite a big number. Above all, I'm satisfied with this year MINDS because even though the facilitator is few, they managed to handle almost 1600 new students. Congratulations! And this year facilitator was not like the oldies facilitator. Their styles, their characteristics. Not much to say, that's all lah. Hehe. :)
