Karam Singh Walia datang UMP

Assalamualaikum all! :) Now is an hour past 12. It's Thursday. Alhamdulillah. I am still given the opportunity to live on this earth. Talking about earth, yesterday there was a day named "Hari Alam Sekitar" or Environmental Day. It's organized by FKASA students; Ucu was one of the manpower for this event. The slot that I'm waiting for is Sesi Bersama Karam Singh Walia. You know who's that right? He's TV3 reporter. The one that always bring up the environmental issues that happened around in Malaysia. He presents about 5 issues in his speech. Each issues he shows the coverage videos that was appeared in the news. Some of the issues are river pollution, illegal pig breeding, balding of hill, global warming and others. I like it when he mention that people will have no guide of life if one has no religion. He means that without a strong bond with the creator, one will lost. I also attracted when that he quotes one Hadith. He relates it with the current issues that happen mostly from the environmental aspects. He also adviced that if we couldn't make the cut, leave the job. Means if we don't have the passion of doing the work, we better find another job that suitable to our interests. It's a very good point! :) Before ending of the session, the audeince was given the opportunity tu answer some questions and claim the hamper that the organizer provide. Oo..that's why la there are so many hampers on the table there.

Cis. And after that, En. Syukor handed to Mr Karam souvenir from UMP watched by Ucu. Before I went back, I eat first la cause the organizer provided some kuih and teh tarik for the audience. Best, best! ;) That's all I think. Zrass!

Malam Majlis Apresiasi MINDS 2008

Assalamualaikum all! Yeah, this is my 3rd post today. ;) Actually those other two posts are for eXpoconvo'08 one. This post was about last night event that held at Astaka. The event started at 9pm but I was still in the exam hall that time. Hehe. Yesterday I got Artificial Intelligence mid term test. I manage to answer all questions in a not very stable condition. Hehe. Still tired lor.. Now also still feel tired but not la as tired as yesterday. Haha. I arrived at Astaka at almost 10pm last night. But I didn't went into Astaka. Just sitting on my bike at the back of Astaka. As soon as I arrived, Dean of JHEPA, Prof. Abd Jalil was finishing his speech. Yeah! Tepat pada masanya. Makan! ;P After Prof's speech, they present the multimedia presentation to all. You wanna know who did that presentation slide? Hehe. Ni ha, Abg JJ yang buat. ;P At the start of the presentation I put there "JJ Production presents..". I wanted to use JJ Production as my initial for any production that I made instead of Suburbanzero. Ok x? Hehe. After the multimedia presentation, the giving prize session for certain award that they made and lucky draw. Next was the certificate giveaway to the facilitator by Prof Jalil. And next was the main agenda...makan. ;) This is when I ride my bike entering Astaka. Hehe. Ye la kan. Orang dh start makan ye x? Hehe. I was invited to sit at the round table. The meal was simple but delicious. lapo pnye pasal, blasah je la. Hehe. The BBQ chicken was good and so do the ikan bakar. Alhamdulillah, kenyang. :)

After eat, all facilitator, Prof. Abd Jalil and other supporting staff gather to take pictures. As usual, I'm acting as the photographer. That's conclude the event. Peace!

eXpoconvo'08...day 3...final day

Assalamualaikum and good morning! :) Once again I'm writing for the 3rd day of eXpoconvo'08. The last day of the event. I woke up a bit late that morning, at 7.30am. Wah~~ Usually I wake up early. Bob called me that morning told me that Faisal wasn't arrived yet. So after I take finished taking bath and all that, I went to Faisal's room. I knocked his door about 4 times cause I called him earlier but he didn't accept that call. After that, I tried to call him again. Aiseyman... He was on the bus la. Siot arr.. Then I called Bob to tell him that Faisal's already on the but. I ride my bike quickly to the bus stop. The bus have depart. It's okay cause I know Ammar drive his car to Kuantan Parade too. Hehe. ;P So, I went there with him la. As soon as we arrive there, a short briefing about the changes of the closing ceremony was told. And that morning we have to went in the Kuantan Parade early for a quick rehearsal before the actual ceremony start. At the same time, Kids Fashion Competition also held at Atrium 2 (closing was at Atrium 1).

I assigned my team half to go to the closing ceremony while other half to help out at the fashion competition. I attended the closing ceremony for a while to see who were the VIP. Most of the morning I was at the fashion competition. The competitors were aged 9 to 12 years old if I'm not mistaken.

The kids were also very outstanding with their style while walking around the stage showing off their talent on the fashion competition. While the winners were announced, Prof. Saba, Tn. Hj. Mustafa and Prof. Abd Jalil came and watch the giving prize ceremony. After that I went to lunch and solat with Awe.

The evening session was the last session of eXpoconvo'08. That evening, Bonang the Rythm was performed by orchestra group, koir group and gamelan group. I like this one performance.

When the Mission Impossible song was played out by them. Really energatic! I was attracted by the drum solo. I wish I can do that also (I also can play drum...hehe...but I'm a beginner lah). ;) I have a chance to watch a bit of their performance cause I need to go to Atrium 2. Have some work to do. That work was taking pictures of our PE giving out certificate and souvenir to the displayer. When arrived at the Bernam booth, En. Yusmadi suggest me that if I wanted to take photography workshop, I can called them (Bernama). Then I told En. Yusmadi to suggest the same thing to Kelab Media UMP (after that En. Yusmadi went to the K-Media President, Yamin). After that, I went back to Atrium 1 to see whether the performance have finish or not. Actually, there were the last performance by the koir group before eXpoconvo'08 closed it's curtain. After that, we all packing up gather at Atrium 1. At the gathering, our PE gave his last speech at eXpoconvo'08 and said that the secratariat was the best while showing his thumbs up. ;) Than, we gather to take pictures (eXpoconvo'08) family. Alhamdulillah. Finally, eXpoconvo'08 done! Congratulations to all secretariat, MT, SUB, TSUB, JK Pelakasana and all. Peace! :) See you again in post mortem!

eXpoconvo'08...day 2

Assalamualaikum... I'm actually wanted to write this after the second day is over but eventually I couldn't because of very damn tired on that day. Morning of that day is like the day before. As soon as we arrived we gather first to hear briefing by our MT and others who have announcement. After the briefing, David took pictures of the whole eXpoconvo'08 family in front of the main entrance of Kuantan Parade. That time the main entrance was still close cause it's still early in the morning. Then we went for our breakfast and wait till the main entrance to open. My work as usual lah, taking pictures of eXpoconvo'08. I also have distribute the works among my team members cause that day we have more that 2 activities and some was going on in the same time. I don't remember how many times have I went around both Atrium. Hehe. That morning, there were the evaluation of the invention and innovation that displayed at Atrium 1. One of the evaluator was Prof. Bad, our former Deputy VC (Research & Innovation). I also took an opportunity to have a short chat with him before he went to evaluate with other evaluators. That morning also at about 11 am, eXporace was held. MT sent two teams. One team was Jemin, Wana and Mancyn. Another team was Fani, Ude and Dila.

As I going around the checkpoint, I found one interesting checkpoint. You know what is so interesting about that checkpoint? Haha. Participants need to drink the raw egg and peria(gourd). ;P I have a chance to took the photos of this one MT team while their were eating the peria. Hehe. After that, I went to Atrium 1 cause kids coloring competition was held there.
The winners of the competition was later announced after the it finished. eXporace winners also was announced after that. Then I went to lunch with others.

After lunch, I went to Terminal Makmur to take my sister who came here to help out my ibu at the booth. After coming back from terminal, I went to Atrium 1 to watched the martial art show. I only have chance to watch the Silat Cekak one.

I missed the taekwando part but I have the video. Hehe. That evening also was held Cabaran Nescafe Tarik. The event that was sponsored by Nestle. The competition was also participate by children aged 9. Wow.

;) Winners of the challenge was Ajid the Zapin man. Congrats! Even though his music have some technical problem, but he still managed to perform well. *Thumbs up* After the challenge was over, I went to solat and went with Faisal to Hyatt Hotel. En.Hilmi Agir took us from Kuantan Parade to Hyatt. He drove like lipas kudung you know. Very, very the fast and the furious. ;P What happened at Hyatt? Actually, En.Azmi invited me and Faisal to document the Makan Malam Graduan 2008 (Graduates Dinner 2008). Fully sponsored by UMP Alumni association. Wow. I'm acting as the photographer while Faisal act as the video man.
Almost 300+ graduates joined the dinner and some of the graduates are my friends. Also attending the dinner was our VC. Bestnye mereka, dah grad dah~~ The Zapin team also performed that night at the dinner. Before that, they were actually performed at Kuantan Parade for the eXpoconvo'08. Must've very damn tired woo. 2 performance place in one night. But it's a very energetic performance. I ate after the dinner was over. 2 round tambah nasik ngan lauk wa cakap luu.. Cannot go la. ;P After that, Azmi called to stay at Hyatt cause they're (the MT & SUB) are coming. Aik pelik tol?? Ape kes? (That's what I'm thinking la..) Actually they're coming to discussed about the closing ceremony changes. It was settled that night after the discussion with En.Azmi, En.Reduan and En.Rahman. Before going back to UMP, En.Reduan belanja us french fries and coke at KFC near Hyatt. That's all for second day. :)

eXpoconvo'08...day 1

Assalamualaikum and goody day! ;) Alhamdulillah, our 1st day of eXpoconvo'08 was closing its curtain at 10.00 pm like that, last night. I could say that I'm happy with the first day but there're also something that I just found it something wrong somewhere. It is only my point of view. First about the exhibitor's booth. This year, we have 2 types or clusters of exhibition place. That's booth for invention competition and booth for agencies (government or NGO). Atrium 1 was made for the invention competition while Atrium 2 was the other one. The booth for invention competition closed earlier than the booth that placed at Atrium 2. The booth at Atrium 1 closed earlier than the booth at Atrium 2. When there are performance at the stage in front of the Atrium, I could feel something wrong la. Well, just my thought. Hehe.
The event was officiated by Y.H. Dato' Abd Aziz bin Abdul Rahman, UMP's LPU members. I heard he was the MB for Pahang last time la. The official ceremony was also joined by our VC, Y.H. Prof. Dato' Dr Daing Nasir and the university's top management peeps. After the ceremony, Dato' Aziz was guided by our protocol peeps to walk around to watch the innovation booth that was opened there. Last night there was performance by two group. One was from Unggultori and one was from Imtiyaz.

The performance was watched mostly by eXpoconvo secretariat themselves. But the performance deliverable was very good I tell you lah. I like both performance. The last one I can't hear it well cause I'm busy with taking candid pictures of the secretariat. I took their photos while they are doing something else or nothing or doing other thing. Hehe. I like to take candid pictures. Hehe. Almost all day I'm with the camera to take pictures. Macam biase arr kan. Hehe. It's okay. I like it. ;) Overall, I could say it "Great! Keep up good work." :) Well, I think I have nothing to say anymore. That's all. Next post will be coming out tomorrow. Hehe. Peace! :)
